My EAS Software and Cable ran fine on Windows Vista. I now have a Windows 7 Laptop and unable to get the software running. The problem is the driver for the USB Device. Unable to locate it anywhere on the internet and the computer unable to find it.

Anyone know the answer to this or has a driver compatible with Windows 7 not been created yet

The eaiest and most permanent fix for the emulator drivers is to buy yourself a pcmia serial port card they are available from maplins for about £50 or like I did from the internet for less than a tenner.
As the card uses pcmia drivers they are sure to work with any laptop you like.

I wondered what you were on about but searched via google and I see what you mean. I'm not computer tech so how would I install such a device to my laptop. Does it mean unscrewing the back and putting it inside??
 
No - your laptop will have a slot usually on one side that a card the size of a credit card but twice as thick would go into. just plug it in and run the cd that comes with it. when its not in use you keep it in a drawer

Nope - Mine, A Toshiba only 2 months old, has a CD Drive, Three USB Slots, Memory Card Slot, three other connectors not sure what for , but definately not a slot that will take something the size of a credit card.

Think I will do a web search and try and locate a steam driven Dell that Datatek harps on about

The PCMIA ( or Cardbuss ) slot is considerably bigger than a credit card roughly 90mm X 55mm.

Windows 7, an even bigger joke than Vista sooooo slow soooo pretty soooo f***ing time wasting:mad: If your Windows 7 is 64 bit expect even more problems.

You are not a fan of windows 7 then:)
 
My pcmia card measures 90mm by 55mm my Visa card is 85 x 55 so call me wrong for 5mm in an aproximate measure when explaining to some one what size slot to look for....ffs
