I was staggered to find out that 4 o/e shock absorbers cost just £100 - P38 bits seem to be very good value. Drove a friend's Land Cruiser recently it felt more like a Defender than a Rangie. He's had it from new (2001), has done 110K miles and it's on its third cylinder head - as they say indestructible...

Nice to see a few more poeple defending the P38, it's restored my faith in it a bit!!!! I was worried for a while.....

In all fairness I bought it as a none runner, I was just told many lies.. I'm not that worried about it, It was still cheap enough even given the headaches (I won't buy a none runner unless it's too cheap to miss..), what's really gettin to me is that these days i'm struggling to find any spare cash to get on with it.. so it's just sitting there... filling my garage....

I've got a tyre to have fixed (It went flat in the garage one night and won't blow up... strange) then I'll get it out of the garage and start trying to find the issue with the air suspension..
