The white EAS plug at bottom of A post is the interface height selector switch to ECU.

I stick a bit of copper rod in mine and bent it (careful) over the gas hob, turned out perfect, just do it gently

Probably too late now but I made up this former and used a hair dryer to warm the pipe,
