P38A EAS leak detection smoke.?

Hi,
I have the inevitable EAS air leak.. somewhere.(!!!).
Can't find it anywhere, so.. anyone know of a reason why I can't use 'smoke' matches and let it draw through the compressor inlet. Should, in theory, show up any air leaks. They are something I use for work, but anyone else tried these or have a good reason why not..!?

cant see a reason why not you may need a lot of smoke but its easier to see than compressed air.

don’t know if it’s any use , have u tried using soapy water

don’t know the system on urs, But I ended up fitting isolating valves in various sections, then pulling a vacuum and tested each line , valve, strut bit by bit

As long as it's not corrosive or likely to leave deposits maybe, but it's got to fill the air tank and get past the desiccant in the dryer so I'm not sure you will see much.

I would have thought that the smoke may condense in the air tank and not appear at the leak.
When I was pulling my hair out I put an airline on each pipe from the valve block and could then hear the air escaping above the back axle thanks to the exhaust
