EAS Kicker Air Suspension Reset Tool.

Don't have a problem : just getting ready for the day it happens.
Can anybody tell me if this tool does what it says on the box ?
i.e. You just plug it in and it does the whole reset without additional software ?

Cheaper to buy a cable on Ebay and download free software from www.rswsolutions.com if you have a laptop

while the buddy box is compact and easy to store i prefer the laptop and cable. it is also possible to use the software and cable on a pda if you have one lying around doing nothing!!! maybe even some sat nave systems but they have to be windows based units!!!

I heard that you can use the software to deflate the system prior to replacing the airbags, is this correct?

Yeah I read that but it said

The EASunlock software suite comes with the three main functions that any Range Rover owner would need for the EAS subsystem. The software will Reset an EAS fault, Read the Stored EAS faults and Re-calibrate the EAS stored profile heights.

It doesn't mention depressurising the system?

Just watched the video and have seen about the 2 buttons at the bottom, all becomes clear

Yes. It's great software and does lots more than that.

Personally, I find carrying a laptop around to be a bit of a pain though so I think I might buy an EAS Kicker. There is a lite version now for about £50 apparently (still cheaper than fixing the problem!).

No need to depressurise the system to replace airbags, shearch "An Idiots Guide (thats me) to replacing airbags"

Why would you want to depressurise the system then?

To drain the main tank?

To work on the solenoid block, drain the air receiver tank, or to do the job by the book rather than the quick easy way
