As advised, I have drilled the vent holes in my EAS box, and blinged it up a bit.

Pics attached!

Hi Rachel,

I agree with Druim can't see the point in venting the box ? now you have finely tuned your EAS system the compressor will be running as designed for short periods.

True, won't do any harm. Wait a moment, all the Pro hole drillers will jump to my defence in a minute!

Oh no they wont !!! Had my compressor out today and guess what, in the moulded bottom part of the box there is already two elongated vents. One is opposite the compressor head and the other is further to the rear. Guess R/R did think about a bit of cooling :D:D

I have heard that if you cut a 6" hole in the windscreen and the tailgate window it helps to cool the car so you don't have to turn the heater down. :D:D:D

The point of venting the box is that it can get quite warm in there especially in summer, the driver packs are getting old and the semiconductors are temperature sensitive, more so with age. The reason they vent PC's with fans is to keep the semiconductors cool or they will fail, keeping the driver pack cooler will prolong it's life and improve reliability.:)
