Dsc warning light

ho .... I have a 2008 freelander td4
The dsc warning light keeps coming on ...iit sometimes stays on when I start the engine ..... and other times I can be driving ....and it just pings !!! Then starts flashing !? How can I stop it and what is wrong ??? Is it an expensive job ... thank you Babs

...or just get the diagnostic codes read by a garage and fix what ever is the problem yourself.

..or invest in a diagnostic code reader for the F2 (not just 1 £10 dongle that only reads engine error codes), read the codes yourself and fix what ever is the problem.

I wouldn’t be able to do it myself !!!!! No idea ...... sadly I wish I did ...but thanks

If you would prefer to spend money to get someone else to do it, that's fair enuff.

Update on this dsc light !!!! The garage said it’s been a fault .... but isn’t now !!! Land Rover diagnostics will turn it off .... BUT. Today driving a .... when I breaker it was like I was stopping on ice !!! And the brakes juddered !!!! I was scared to death ..... but the light has gone off ??? Now I’m scared to break ! Do I’m taking car in to get the wheel bearing fixed and asking about the brakes !!!! I’m wishing I never got this car

You needed to find out what caused the DSC warning in the first place, rather than the code simply being erased. There's obviously a problem with the wheel speed sensors, or steering angle sensor, as the DSC is detecting a slide condition.

Take it back to the garage and get them to check the wheel sensor live data and the steering angle live data.

Only then can a sensible diagnosis be made.

Why do you need a wheel bearing? Is the wheel wobbling? A very badly worn wheel bearing could potentially cause an issue, but it would flag a wheel speed sensor code.
