Drovers door wont stay shut

yu can slam the drivers door as much as you want, but it stays shut about 1 in 5. .

also invariably cant open the door from the inside or out. every now and again the handle works.

I have tried adjusting the striker post, but it is as far out as it can go.

This isnt the infamous spring problem is it?

Prolly the adjustment on the rods ...

Lube all the link points and the actuator ... the adjustment is from the actuator up rod ... it winds in or out as required ...

Don't put the door card back on til your happy with it ALL ...

was ok before door card was refitted . seems to be latching mechanism.

Then take the door card off again and see if it works properly?

If it does, your door card is doing something bad.

Thanks for the link. Exactly the same problem, but I am not sure Rob said what got it fixed.

I might pop in to Keith Gotts and see if I can pick a few brains on Monday.

Thinking about it, I have just replaced the inner and drivers side sill, so the B post might have moved slightly.

To check if you had the same problem as me rich, put the window down, pull off the rubber seal on the top of the door card and look at the latch. Pull the handle and you'll see a spring move up. If it doesn't go down your problem is similar to mine. Pressing the lock on the top of the door will force it down and the door will work.
