Driving me nuts

Hope you guys might shed some light for me please!

My 2.4 puma had engine knock under load and only when cold. New PCV changed and relearns stopped the knock. New clutch was changed as I was getting rattle from the springs. I also had all the O rings and washers changed on the injectors as No3 was damp.
Now I still have a weird rattling/clattering noise when I drive. Gets quieter as I reach 6th gear but doesn’t go. No rattle at idle and the engine purrs.Open my window when driving and I can’t hear it, close the windows and it seems to be coming from the gear stick area. It’s not majorly loud, but loud enough. No loss of power either. Erg electronically switched off and blanked.

I’m really scratching my head here. It’s going in for a service next week.

Can you turn up the bass on the radio and drown it out. It helps with mine.

Haha bass, what bass?? Do you have a defender?

Gearbox or UJ?

Wouldn’t thought it will be gearbox. It’s not a loud rattle, do the UJ’s rattle then? It doesn’t do it when it’s on idle. What part of the gearbox could cause a rattle?

They are known for a rattle through the gearstick some where done under warranty the stick rattles in it's housing
