Drivers side, front side light replacement?

Hi all sorry for what might seem a simple question.
Freelander 51plate TD4 140k mileage
Tried to renew drivers side, side light same way as passengers done in earlier years from engine compartment. Not possible, to much in the way, so congested can't even remove the cap!!
Can it be done by removing the 2 bolts on the top of the wings above light, and pulling whole light assembly forward, or is it more involved than that?
Think later models are done that way.
Can't seem to find any info online about the subject, for the F/L1.

The black screw cap will fit out through the gap. It is a juggle but it does, honest !!!

Remember to leave some skin there too

Hi guys, no never managed to change it. Going to have to leave it for someone else to do.
Unless it's possible to do it by taking the light assembly put of the bodywork like I was asking if it was possible?
