My wife's freelancer broke down today turned out to be a snapped drive belt(fan belt). Tryed to replace myself in the rain by gave up as had no tools with me. RAC came out took a while with my help but new belt on. we're running. 2 miles down the road snapped again now got it home. Question is why has it snapped again nothing obviously wrong other than belt. Any advice would be appreciated.

If the belt failed that quickly, then it's being overloaded. This can be due to the alternator gone wrong, a tensioner pulley seized up or maybe even the water pump seized or frozen?

It could also be the bottom damper pulley has failed, causing the belt to snap. The damper pulley failing is quite a common TD4 problem, but normally the belt survives.
