hi guys , got my dph silicone hose kit today but got afew questions, so first one was they seem too big so is it ok to cut them down abit? Suprised as i thought they would fit perfectly , second question was i bought the full five piece kit but cant work out where the small straight one goes, got two in today but the lower two are going to be fun fitting as there very akward to get too, getting there now guys, got those an my mudflaps sorted next is a nice new clutch from ebay for £130 an then my side steps an fancy in car entertainment, after that some nice Bridgestone tyres then my remap at amd lakeside.

little one goes after your MAP sensor at the front of the engine, if you don't have a map sensor then you don't need it

The small straight one bout an inch or two long is for the sensor on the air intake on later TD4s. They should all be the right length, certainly my kit from there was. If you purchased the 5 piece kit and you dont have a sensor then the air intake hose might be too long or short.

Odd. My 5 piece were perfect. My issue was with the T bolt clamps as they all seemed too big, but they were just about perfect. Just need to tighten them right down.

I doubt they're too long, just make sure they're pushed on far enough!

mine seem to be leaking a tiny bit as there is residue all over them I have checked the clips and they are tight. I will have to have a steam clean.
Ohhh the joys hey guys , ok i fitting 3 of the 5 the straight small one doesn't go on my td4 2002 but in having problems getting to the last bendy one attached to the radiator, in the pic above its the top one on the left, any tips? ive also got the red, i hear the 10 mph faster than the blue ones hahaha

that one is a pig to get to the clip make sure the nut to it is facing towards the engine

Took me 3 hours to change all my hoses and egr, of which 2 hours was on that one hose, its a pig!!

From memory , I had to shorten one of mine to reduce a kink

was there one where the plastic part of the engine was removed and extra hoses, pipes etc were fitted
wondering as the plastic is narrow in certain parts as to whether it would help the engine breath a bit better or make no difference
mines a td4 and been thinking of doing the silocone hoses but also thinking of removing the plastic unit and adding the extra hoses and pipes in

Nobody does a kit to remove the air inlet side, but one of the guys on here made his own along with fitting a massive intercooler. Don't remember his name.
