Sorry for my pityfull english of frenchman...

I have a RRV8, i downsize it from 3L9 to 3L5.

It's running too rich..

So i checked the throttle potentiometer, the value for throttle close was too high following the manual, is it possible that it cheats the ECU, and mess the mixture if the potentiometer say the flap is more open than it is really ?

I file it to make th potentiometer "tunable" by rotationv (like on one old 3L5 EFI). I tune it for the good value when the flap is closed.

Question : Could it make it "to lean" and size the engine ?
What should i look at not to kill my engine ?
