Hi There,
I have recently bought a 90, which had one problem - the drivers door window drops down at the front when opening, and then cannot be wound up again.
I have replaced the two glass channels at the front and back of the door, but this has not cured the problem. It looks as though the channel at the front is not stiff enough, and bows out when the glass is pushing against it where not supported by the frame aswell. There are two thin metal strips that sit behind the channel, but these seem to be pretty useless?
Can anyone suggest what I have missed, or should try??
Thanks for any help.

Hi,

Im affraid i cant help you but i have got a very similar problem with my drivers door on my 110, however i have not had the chance to look at it further yet.

So i will be interested to see an answer too for when i fix mine,

Cheers, sorry i cant be of any help,

Scott

I had the same problem, you just need to change the winder mechanism. The teeth inside wear letting the window drop. They aren't too expensive and are pretty easy to fit. After fitting a new one, the winder was so smooth I just wanted to open and close the window all the time!
