Try adjusting the metal things that the door fastens to, I found I had to move mine horizontally towards the door to get it to catch.
You will need a torx screwdriver, but once you undo them, there is actually a surprising amount of adjustment.

I adjusted the door catch on the back door of my Disco 2 so that the door no longer rattled when latched. As James said a torx bit does the trick
