Continuing with attaching things back to where they should be. I removed the door cards on the 110 CSW today. I should have quit there given the hideous mess of rust at the base of each door - which can wait until next spring.
First on the list was to attach the door pull /push things which lock or unlock the doors from inside.
The plastic retainer fixings screwed to the door were bust (see photo), as were the surrounds fixed to the card. I had purchased a set of 4 new aftermarket 'kits'. From which I now have 4 broken kits.
I tried 4 different ways to build these parts up and each time something broke on final assembly.
Is there some cunning method for this assembly. The plastic is to say the least 'crap' as a grade and very thin / brittle. The aluminium pulls were fitted by the previous owner - I even tried the supplied plastic pulls - same result.
