Door keeps banging me

So what keeps a defender door open? Or more importantly what do I need to replace to keep door open once it’s clicked rather than it keep trying to chop me in two.

Park facing downhill

The latch is part of the door stay under the plastic cover. They are not very strong but easy and cheap enough to replace.

Replace the terrible, rusty, and heavy, one piece doors with nice light two piece series doors, that way when it swings into you it does not hurt.
