Just a small issue, I just had my MOT (passed nicely again) but I had an advisory regarding the front door handles (LH & RH)
If you open the doors from the outside the doors close properly, however, if you open from the inside you have to flick outer handle to get the door to latch. Both handles are working freely and the cables are fine and connected. The LH door occasionally will latch but not often, I have sprayed PTFE lubricant onto the handle mechanism by pulling the outer handle handle out and cleaning/lubricating but this hasn't done owt. Any suggestions before I start ripping everything out

Outside handle attaches to green clip. Inside handle attaches to the lever circled in blue. Both of them operate the same metal lever, so the problem is likely to be one of these attachment points.

About 6:30 into the video below shows the metal part moving & how the handles operate it.

Hi Pete,
Many thanks for that, I have done a couple of my latches (rear) in the past and I wish I had seen this video before! All the latches do what they are supposed to and the internal handles open the door easily, they just dont latch when you shut the door apart from the passenger side which does sometimes if you flick it closed. I was hoping it was just a case of lubrication because I don't think anything is broken, now that you have refreshed my memory on the latch I think the only way to clean/lubricate it is from the inside. I tried doing it with the outer handle pulled out but I don't think the lube will reach. I guess I will once again whip off the door card and give it a go before I strip the latch!
