Door Card Clips

Afternoon, All.

I took my door card off to rectify a lock issue and, predictably, most of the black plastic fasteners broke. I ordered some more, but they don't work as the circular aperture has too great a diameter. The part number was MXC1800.

When I compared them to the old clips, I could see the diameter of the circular aperture was smaller in the original fasteners.

My truck is a 1993 Defender 90. Does anyone know the part number of the right fasteners?

mxc1800 is the correct number are your original black

Not really. There's no way I could refit the door card without them dropping off and I don't think they'd hold the card in place.

I had a similar issue recently but resolved it by replacing the white inserts, no problems after that.
The original ones were just old and worn.

Thanks for that. The white inserts are fine. It's strange that the two black fasteners I managed to save have a smaller diameter circular recess than the new ones, which just pull straight off the plastic buttons on the inside of the door card.

Update: I ordered some more clips from a different supplier and they fit. They're the same part number. Go figure....
