Is anybody breaking a td5 disco and wants shot of the v5? Mine is back in the uk now after taking it out and registering in Italy but to re- register looks a complete ball ache. Has a fresh mot but the forms to fill are pretty long- figures this would be easier!
thanks
I thought V5 went with the highest bidder usually?V5 goes with the chassis doesn't it?
I probably have four or five knocking about for scrapped motors if anyone wants to make me an offer.I thought V5 went with the highest bidder usually?
Wow many replies! Dodgey no. Just a lot easier! And no, in reply to “it should be easy”- nope. It isn’t.
Anywho this was standard practice with series Landies a few years ago
And no, I won’t be making that call to Swansea to see what they say/can extort from me;-)
Haha surely a wind up lol
Using a v5 to import yours is called ringing it, is it not??
What will you do with the the chassis number on the dashboard paint over it.
Dont you worry about calling Swansea im sure there will be plenty of folks with free
time that will we willing to help you out.
Fine for all those charming people with big noses who have Swansea on speed dial.
Any whim it passed its mot yesterday on its vin so that’s the route I’ll be going down so you can all calm down and jump off your high horses.
you don’t get so wound up when a historic v5 for a pile of rust gets moved about on series vehicles.
hey ho
No crying sonnyBoohoo, go cry a river.
What you were suggeting doing is AFAIK illegal. Yes people may have done this on Series and even do it on Defenders by putting a series reg on it BUT it is still illegal.
Cheers
