Hi all, I recently purchased a L322 4.4 V8 2004, I have converted lots of L322's to LPG over the years and always like them, so thought it was time to get one for myself. I got it for a good price as it has some issues, I got it to replace a 2000 BMW x5 which has seen better days, and plan is to use this as spare parts for the rangy. So the question is, does any one know if the front air springs are the same?
The rangy had a compressor issue, and I had a bit of time today to modify the x5 pump and install it in the rangy, cleared the old faults, and all worked great :) Until both front air springs popped one after the other :( So now to change the springs if they will swop over? Any help would be great.

The airsprings popped? Did you modified compressor over pressure the system?

Hi, I don't think so, the motor & pump are basically the same, but the solenoid valve block is different, the X5 uses two solenoids and pipes, one for the front and one for the rear. Were as the l322 only has one valve and pipe. I swopped the the valve block over. It pumped up fine and the pump stopped running. But the bags look very perished, passenger side leaked after about an hour of sitting at full height, then when that dropped the d/s quickly followed.

Based on the info at Aerosus, probably not. There is a 3KG difference between the two. Although you can buy bags on their own if the struts are OK, which are 100 each, rather than the whole unit at a shade over 200 each. You could always try transplant the parts yourself. They're already ****ed on the RR, so you can't **** them anymore.

Thanks for the info, I was struggling to fine any comparison online. I’m going to strip down the rr today hopefully so may remove a bag from a strut, see how easy it is to do

Pretty sure Storey Wilson had a video on YouTube showing how to strip and rebuild a strut.
