Hi guys

Ok back on my 200tdi into a s111 idea again, as you know i have done a 200tdi into an SWB s11a in the past but i am looking at getting an LWB as there is more room in one.

i know lots of peeps have fitted a 200tdi into an LWB but in the end they have gone down the 200di route as the turbo either touches the chassis or is very close to the chassis.

so what i would like to know is does the turbo actually touch the chassis if not how close is the turbo to the chassis and is there away round this without clocking the turbo, oh and do you have any pics ;)

you dont have to fit intercooler ,piped straight to turbo is okay

yeah i already have a radiator cage, intercooler, header tank, and airfilter box all from my mates 300tdi disco we broke up last year just can't decide wether to use a 200tdi rad or a 300tdi rad as on my s11a swb i used a new 300tdi rad but wished in some ways i had used a 200tdi rad instead but i am hoping with a s111 it mite be easyer to work out as the headlamps are in the wings so a bit more room :)

Could you not get hold of the intake from a Defender 200Tdi? The turbo on the Defender variant of the engine sits a few inches higher than on the Discovery.

yes i could but they are like rocking horse **** to get hold of and the same price as a fully restored landy to buy when you find one :)

If you find someone who sells defender 200tdi manifolds cheap you would become an lz god. Impossible to find.

You could use a defender td radiator, cheap as chips and decide on an intercooler later. A disco td5 intercooler can be made to fit giving additional cooling at a later date. Often on eBay cheap

i just use std series rad usually no intercooler and lifted mounts (as eng does sit too low )and just use bolts that line up to gear box ,(more than enough )
