Im looking to replace the tape player in my 2004 Td5 with a cheap Alpine CD/Wireless.
I see Mudstuff sell ISO adapters but do I need one?
The connector block that is part of the loom on my vehicle has round plugs but taped to the loom also is a rectangular connector roughly 10mm x 30mm with a cover on it. What is this?
Inside the dash I can see about 2 or 3 of these same rectangular connectors which I presume is part of a standard loom for vehicles that maybe have heated seats, a/c etc? But why is one taped to the current radio connector block loom?
Do I need the mudstuff ISO adapter or is the connector taped to my basic cassette stereo loom a standard fit for ISO CD players which would have been an option at the time my Td5 was new?
ps the pic is the connector that is attached to the back of the radio, not the other rectangular ones im on about.
