anyone got any advice on just what spares I should be taking and what tools on my trip to Morocco?

Appreciate that the part I don't take is the part I will need!

I believe there is a Landy garage in Morocco, though they charge a fair bit.

As for spares fan belt, air filter, injector harness, Nanocom/Hawkeye if you have one ( an electrical fault could see you stranded), full size spare tyre. Im sure others will suggest more!

I do prefer genuine parts when I can afford them, but I would buy a cheap fuel pump just for piece of mind... I also carry a spare MAF, wheel bearing kit, UJ... and a selection of fluids/oils etc... oh and get your battery tested while you're at it.
Prevention is better than cure, so a thorough check over/service before you go. Often the most reliable vehicles are the ones used as a daily driver, as faults are kept on top of.

Will I need these considering the filters and the dan belt were done a few months ago?

Both batteries are brand new. Pump may be one to have and also alternator. What fluids/oils brands would you recommend?

After doing the trip twice. From experience an alternator sand gets everywhere with all spare belts. Spare water pump genuine, get a ARB puncture kit, spare wheel nuts, bulbs the rest as been mentioned,
Good luck

Belts and magnetic tray purchased. Did you say a spare alternator?
Yes I didn't first time and had just the normal heat shield we got a bad spell of wind and it just knackered the alternator luckily someone was carry one. The next time I took one as a precaution mine was ok but another fellas packed in. For me better to be safe than sorry.
Cheers
