Hiya can anyone please help with a fault on my Disco? When I put my key in the ignition, it turns freely for postion 0 but then goes straight to position 2 and tries to start the engine. The starter motor is staying engaged, the fuel flap won't open and the electric windows won't work, also the battery is being drained of power.
I've replaced the circular black box directly behind the ignition barrel but the fault is still the same. I don't think the fault lies with the ignition barrel as the key turns freely. Can anyone help???

What if u turn it back manualy to pos I? ... if it works that way the problem is not the switch but the barrel mechanism cos it must come back to pos I alone.... it has springs within tu push the key back from pos. II to I... register and see here The D2 Boys Club. - Login how to piece it(even though yours is not blocked) ... maybe u can fix it otherwise it will be quite expensive
