Discovery TD5 engine starts shaking occasionally when started

Hello, It has been a while since we had to travel and left the car at the garage. But we found the fuel pressure regulator was leaking quite a bit and this was finally replaced, the car started now, we were told this morning but after a short while the engine started shaking and black smoke was coming out of the exhaust pipe. What does this indicate ? an injector or the washers ? Or the MAF as suggested or the turbo charger ? As a reminder, the injector loom was replaced first, then the fuel filter was and now the fuel pressure regulator. My garage man is very experienced but does not have all the equipment to adjust a replaced injector, and a Landrover garage is very away from here. Would your suggestion now be to check all of the above? thanks again !
