Hi all.
Just upgraded from my trusty 2010 Freelander 2 to a Disco Sport, mainly as it has the same engine.
Question - when I used to fill the tank of the FL, it would say a range of around 380-400 miles, but when I do the same for the DS, it only gives me a range of 282 or therabouts?

Only true test of consumption is a brim to brim test using the mileometer or tripmeter.
Computers can get things wrong you know! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Its probably a calculated sum from the PO driving habits. Maybe they used the go pedal like an on/off switch or only drove to the school/shop a few miles?

If the above is the case than take it for a good run at speed and make sure the DPF is clear.

So drive it for a couple of weeks and see it change.

The range changes all the time according to how you have been driving recently.
Yessdi I went on a 3 hours drive in the wife's car, the range changed from 220 kms to 310 as I was driving most of the time in 5th gear. Previously it had only been doing shortish shopping type trips.
