Why is it when ever i buy a vehicle from a dealer with no MOT advisors I get a list as long as your arm when I have to MOT it, I wouldn’t mind if I had done thousands of miles in the year, I would of taken it back to where it was last Motd but its a long way from me, surely car dealers don’t get there vehicles passed easily 🫣

Take the list after adding a few items to the original seller and ask them to deal with it

Or just post the list up here with the name of the dealers a and test centre...

Or call the test centre and give them abuse ...

Plenty of options but basically cause the both of them (seller and test centre)
A whole load of pain assuming your milage is very low of course...

SO post up the list then...😂 What crock of. S*** have you brought??😂

Try a different mot place, some are just plain arseholes.

At £34 Grand I hope it’s not a Crock of ****.
Post up the MOT sheet from the original sale last year.
Post up the mileage in the last 12
Months then it can be evaluated with your fail sheet from this year...

£34k will buy you a crock of S*** in a lot of places by the way 😂

The mot had to be stopped when it got to the emission test because a part on there machine broke, it’s got to be re tested next week, I asked would it of passed up to then and he said no it would of failed on 2 tyres that are split to the core, he all so told me of the advisories , apart from the brake pipes he said there was some corrosion as well, the tyres are being ordered and I will ask about the corrosion which is concerning me the most, it’s a 2015 with 45000 miles on the clock.

Sounds like you brought a crock of S"**
How did you come to that conclusion? Do we actually know you? Or is it time for this :vb-wave:

Corrosion is an easy advisory to put with no real meaning. Unless pointed out and coming through.
Brake pipe are also the same, but would pay more attention and ask the tester if he could point them out exactly.

Tyres well that can happen if you are unlucky .

Disco 4...
8 years cold is end of life.
Tyres nackered after 12 months means they were probably nackered 12 months ago.
Corrosion... Yep it's 8 years old so probably needs scrapping..

The list can go on if you want but I can't be bothered.
Those vehicles are built to last at best 5 years...

We don’t own anything younger than 8yr old and I can tell you they are all far from “end of life” (you like that phrase don’t you).:vb-wave:

Tyres:rolleyes: with the state of the roads here we don’t wear them out .

Wait till he posts pictures of it on the ramp and see how rusty it's got...
Best bit will be if it's a 2.0 diesel engine...

😂😂😂😂

No it’s a 2015 discovery 4, last of the old shape , I have had a good look underneath, nothing but a bit of surface rust which could easily be rubbed down and sprayed back black, the only part under that is bad is the Diesel tank guard which is another common thing, I could just un bolt it and put another one on.
