Hi Guys,
I went for a drive today and notice my steering feels very stiff... After cornering the wheel doesn't self center and is hard work as I need to assist it back to center. Steering fluid level is perfect too, :( hope this wont cost too much to fix...

Any ideas please? I read about checking the steering UJ's? (what are these please?) Thank You

the ujs are in the linkage between steering wheel and box , jack both front wheels off the ground undo the box drop arm ball joint and twist both wheels lock for lock ,if they are tight that could be your issue

It does sound a bit power steering-ish, sorry that's all I can venture.
The steering U/Js, there are two of them on the steering column. They aren't particularly easy to reach but it is do-able. There's no greasing points or nipples on them, they are quite small. The best way to grease them is to take a handful of grease and try to work it into the joints with your fingers, wipe away the excess before you finish the job.

Thank you so much for your advise. Sorry, do you have a picture or diagram please, I don't know how to locate the box drop arm ball joint. I'm useless, but cant afford mechanic right now

the arm on the bottom of the steering box you need an 18mm spanner to undo the nut to let the drag link release from the arm ,might need a hard tap on end of arm to release the joint , you can turn wheels with out them been connected to steering box and so ascertain which is the issue
