disvovery 99 300tdi has emphasized fuel pump engine turning over. But solinide not getting a key live. Ecu wont connect to scan tool. Witch is for landrover and has connected in past. I was going to rig up a key live to pump Has anyone any advice . Is there any key live in engine bay ?

Not sure wat u mean. Bit of a dummy lol it has 3 wires on pump
EDC is electronic diesel control on the autos.... from what you say - 3 wires - it sounds like the DDS pump on a manual... but post a piccie up, and we'll know for sure...
(From what you have said it is most likely a manual with the "normal" immobiliser problem.)

manual pumps look like this
if your solenoid is covered with a plastic cover and has wires you can break off the cover as its secured by security bolts and use one of the 3 wires which is 12v constant ignition live straight to the uncovered solenoid
