Hello
Not long after purchasing my discovery 3 about 5 months ago , the rear wiper packed up and stopped working so we bought a new motor which didn't work at first and then started working about a month after fitting it however the wiper arm would just flop down and make an awful buzzing/ grinding noise.

So we decide to buy a new wiper arm after the old one had worn the hole too big, but this one seems to be doing the exact same thing.

The motor functions without the arm fitted but as soon as it's on the grinding floppiness happens.

Is this a case of replace the spline on the motor but it doesn't look too worn.

I am at my whits end with this car , you only have to fart to loud and it blows a fuse.

Any help much appreciated 👍

@gstuart ?????

Could it simply be that the arm isn't sufficiently tightened down onto the spline of the motor?
Not knowing the car itself, as you know!
The idea of "the hole being too big" worries me a bit! Does he mean the hole on the wiper arm?
