Hi new on here and looking for help please?
Discovery 2 oil cooler changed 18 months ago, my header tank is full of engine oil, Is it poss that its blown? Warped or the seals are shot already? Cheers, Lee

47 views but no ones jumped in.... Ive not had any experience with the TD5 oil cooler, but its a possibility that's where you're oil and water is mixing. Anywhere else on the engine the two fluids can mix ?

Who changed the oil cooler, and for what reason ?

I changed the oil cooler for the same reason as above.

head gasket, get your cylinder compressions tested

Removed Britpart oil cooler which was covered in crud, Pressure tested in a bucket of water, Pin hole in the middle of it with around 4bar of pressure on it, Also noticed when I stripped the motor that the oil breather pipe on the rocker has gone really hard.

This is what I have removed and done so far, Waiting for a new oil cooler and gaskets to come so I can do it all again
