Hi all

I have a Discovery 2 TD5 and i am having problems with my suspension. The rear right hand side would lose pressure overnight and when i went out in the morning the car would be sitting on it's back end, I must add this would only happen occasionally! I would start the car and within 30 seconds the suspension would pump up and it would sit at normal drive height.
Last week the suspension dropped whilst driving, no warning lights came on, so i pulled over and had a look only to find the suspension rising to normal drive height.
This happened again on friday last week. So i parked it on the drive and within a couple of minutes the car was sat on it's back end. I started it this morning and the suspension pumped up ok and i have been using it with no problems.
Could this be a split/damaged airbag, which i hope it is or could it be a damaged/broken solenoid?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

There is probably a vid on you tube that talks you through it,
Or google changing an air bag on a landy
Any info you get will help you

One major thing is you need to support the chassis securely on stands before any work is done on the pipes or bags
 
Right i have changed the air suspension bags last night and i was surprised at how easy it was! Though it took me some time to undo the 10mm hose connection at the top due to the lack of space lol. Then a feeling of dread when i went to refit the new airbag to find it had a different connection for the air supply. Until i took a look in the box i found a slip of paper explaining the new connection with intructions of how to do it, my heart lifted again lol
The old girl is now sat proud and drives so much better.
Many thanks for your comments, I am sure i will have other problems in the future as it is a Land Rover, but god i love them lol

We'll done that man you will become a very competent mechanic now your a Landy owner. Unless you have a large bank account and you can afford to get someone else to do it.
 
quick side note, i would change them in pairs as we had one burst on our old disco and only changed the one side, it sat about 1/2 - 1 inch higher on the new side
