Got an odd one here...
Got a Disco 2 TD5 that is usually ok. Strange thing happened last night though.
Doing some jobs on it which involved having the ign on, (air suspension work). Went for a bite to eat & had a fine evening.... But left ign turned on... Put battery charger on this morning & the immobiliser was doing what it should. Immobilising the car. Pressed the button on the fob, fob light flashed put that was it. Car still immobilised.
Any ideas anyone?...
 
Concentrate and describe better what happened cos i dont understand...was the car locked?, did it unlock on the fob but still immobilised... or didnt unlock at all... or was it unlocked from the beginning?... was the battery completely flat?.... or what?... in this immobiliser area every small detail is very important
 
Alrighty!
Working on the car with the ign on & the car unlocked. Got a call as supper was on the table, and me being of the forgetful age, went off. The car still had the ign on, the engine was not running & the car was not locked & the doors were open. Started again this morning & the ign was syill on & there were no lights on the dash. No ign light, oil light etc. Turned key off thinking there may be a timed cutout, & turned back on. No life atall. Put on charge with cables still connected & had a brew. Came back & switched on. Lights where there should be & the immobiliser light was flashing. Took the key out & pressed the unlock button. The light on the fob flashed as expected but the light on the dash kept flashing. Shut all doors & pressed lock. Nothing. Put key in & locked manualy & got a satisfying clunk. Unlock button, no difference. Manual unlock & clunk. Opened door & alarm went off. shut door & lock manually & silence......
Hope this helps a little to understand my predicament....
 
OK, first replace the battery in the fob, let the charger on few hours untill the battery is fully charged, unlock with the key but dont open the door, lock back with key then try to unlock with fob...if no joy you'll have to remobilise it with EKA procedure, find somebody with nanocom to make sure that the fob didnt loose syncronisation, if that's ruled out and still dead replace the roof receiver to rule it out.... some ideas of non working fob attached(the frequency is irrelevant)

I hit this a couple of weeks ago when I had a dead Alternator and the battery had gone through the floor level of lack of charge. Symptoms were exactly the same so I wonder if the charging actually did anything here for you.

Had same problem, EKA code procedure allowed the alarm to be cancelled but had a promlem with the immobiliser. Reprogramed the keys with a Nanocom before the immobilser was switched off been ok since
