Discovery 2 Half Shafts

Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anyone with experience of off-roading a Discovery 2 could tell me how strong the half shafts are? Debating on doing some long distance off roading and don't want to be let down by these, but some people say they're really bloody strong compared to the Discovery 1 and Defender? However, ashcroft do make heavy duty ones, but fail to mention the differences between the originals for the D2 (however are nice enough to point out the technical improvements against the originals for the Defender and Discovery 1).

I know the diffs are normally pretty crap anyway which is why I was thinking of taking a spare with me until I can afford the upgrade

Any opinions?

As well as asking here, why not call Ashcroft and ask from them directly?
But do come amd let us know what they say as I am interested to hear the difference.

Yeah was going to phone and ask them, but they're offices were closed, so I figured I'd see if any D2 owners could share their experiences.

I will feed back when I find out though.
