I'm looking to get myself a disco 1 chassis to repair and get galvanised. Is there a difference between the 5 and 3 door chassis?
There’s no mention of anything specific in the parts book for the 300 series, other than just for the manual TDi and the other for an auto TDi have different part numbers.I'm looking to get myself a disco 1 chassis to repair and get galvanised. For the same models in the 200 series there’s more part numbers plus the addition of a V8 with EFi.
So nothing serious it appears other than different body panels
That my friend just brought a tear to my eyeI scrapped a mint chassis & I mean mint also a rust free body with loads of new panels, I offered it for free on here as I needed the space, tis gone now. Dam shame.
Hi having spent a hour or so looking for a new discovery 1 chassis , the fact I cant find any one refabing them and the discovery 2 is not the same size, I did find this one for youView attachment 254706
using the search function I have found every answer from they are impossible, to they fit no bother. I think the only way is to actually try it for myselfDont think it will go as the chassis are not the same width, check out this site

Been watching the channel for the past few hours, it seems as you say it is on the 2 rear mounts that need a 2 inch bobbin spacer in to make up the difference in height, but nothing needs moved. Happy daysHi, check out Drizz developments on you tube, he has done a few and if I remember correctly I think he had to move the two rear mounts by a couple of inches to fit the Disco 2 body to a Disco 1 chassis and therefore achieving the best of both worlds.
