Hope you are all having a good weekend. I'm just shopping around for some prices today and wonder what I should consider to be a reasonable cost for a shop-fitted twin electric tow-bar? I'm fed up going out improperly dressed.........

Also depends whether the attachment points are OK to fit a tow bar too?

Cheers
Quite - just found this TD5 which has (fingers crossed) a solid unmarked chassis which looks like it needs only wire brushing before being treated, And on the subject, would you recommend Hammerite (a few coats of red oxide and then paint)? I really want to hang on to this one for some time to come but I'm haunted by my last one which didn't have a chassis - or much of one. Must have dropped off in dust!

A lot of peeps recommend Dinitrol.

Personally I use waxoyl and do it every year.

Do not forget the inside of the chassis. They tend to rust from the inside out.

With both preparation is key. There are a few guides that have been written on how and what to do . Or you can pay someone else to do it with professional kit.

Cheers
