Disco not charging

Help please Another problem with my disco today...it wouldn't be any fun if it worked all the time would it! So I get a battery light up on the dash when first started, rev it and it goes but the battery isn't getting any charge, so brand new battery fitted still the same. Tested the volts directly from alternator and I'm getting 14.2 volts and that gets to the point on the fuse box but does not get any further. Checked all fuses and they are all good, anymore information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks joe

That point on the fusebox is connected to mega fusible link FL1(150A) so check it's other side too cos it can be blown

Also changing that mega fuse is there any precautions I need to take? Obviously disconnect the battery anything else? As I have a spare to pop in

Yeah I have a rave, I've had a look through but wiring is not my strong point, il have a go at changing that fuse first if not il get my brain into gear and work out the wiring

Disconnecting the battery is enough but if you check voltage with multimeter both sides of it you can see if it's good or not
