disco front wiper

hi all first time disco owner here,
i picked up a 99 disco 300tdi van for carrying all the day to day farm bits bull boats and a few other bits.
shes a beast 160k on the clock and running a1 drives great didnt get much use the last few years few hundred miles between tests,has some minor faults
wipers on front dont work i was told when bought,i had a look and fuse was blown put new fuse in no joy,there is a relay clicking in the passenger side foot well when the rear wiper is used,so pulled out the front motor it was burnt out foul smell,got a working motor from a scrap one still no joy.
i cant hear anything clicking when the front wiper is used and couldnt finy anything on the net about front relay.
aparrt from lookin at the stalk next im stumped.

the speedo dosent work which i will have to tackle to im guessing the transducer could be at fault.
the imobileiser was disconnected a few years ago too(not that it bothers me no intention of fixing really)

any help at all would be great

Had the wipers pack up, blown fuse and burnt motor like you, changed and still ne joy. It turnt out to be the wiper switch stalk was f££ked. Change for a 2nd hand one and normal wiper service resumed!!
