Would the steel wheels of a disco or defender fit on a freelander?

I'm after this kind of wheel

Are spacers needed if they fit?

7x16 seems to be the standard size for this type of wheel

For tyres I'm wanting 215/70/16 grabber AT's

Those modulars look great when coupled with some MT tyres :). DD has them on his, there are pics everywhere around this section.
 
Ye i can see that :cool: what I mean was, was That pictured hippo modified in some sort of way to take them wheels or were they hippo wheels?

It's my hippo. Only mod is a 2" lift to clear 225/75/16 tyres. Hubs, nuts etc are standard ones. Wheels are modulars with correct pcd and a bit more offset.

Nice mate, Thanks for the info, one last thing, did you have to modify the speedo since you englarged the tyres?
