disco d2 chassis rotten advice needed

A friend of mine is in need of a complete new rear chassis both legs but he needs it doing just past the spring hangers. Now what he is after is a complete piece of kit which includes the spring hangers I know you can get them for defenders but can't see any for d2.

just done a rear chassis legs and cross member change.. however we didn't go that far back is there not anyway he can just plate over it? or just cut out the rot?

nice repair,my D2's chassis was like a half eaten weetabix,in the end it was better for me to have another chassis fitted,James Martin on here did the chassis swap for me,very happy with the result as well.

just looked up on the spanner monkeys web site,pair of rear chassis sections ,in good quality steel,£195/pair.

Is that Dan from barrow in furness doing your welding.he did mine,his welding is something else.

Could do with the it all been done really he is not happy as he only bought it 12 months ago and you can put your hole hand threw the chassis legs with ease, I've told him to take it back to the garage because there is know way it would of passed an mot and it was them who done the mot.

There was a chap on ebay that made chassis legs that went over half the cars length.will see if i can find.

yep! he's done a great job on it! had a few issues with the zinc plating spitting at him and the fact he was welding onto rot in some areas.. but count fault his welding at all! if anyone needs a lady welder he is your man!
