You know what i meant, good spot anyway and have now edited it to say steel.

Don't think import from Spain either (sunny, hot and dry no rust ect) I just had the rear seat belt mounts welded back in on my 200tdi!

The cars over here in Spain are really expensive, I have just seen a 94 200 tdi going for 5000.00 euro (£3900.00) in good condition and also a 300tdi 98 going for 6500.00 euro (£5900.00) also in good nick.

The new ones are being sold a bit cheaper i.e. TD5 ect because people are put of by leccy/ecu/gremlin problems.
