8 grand on mine, owned it 2yrs, driven it for less than 3 months and still a ton of extras to add, oh and still get it baçk on the road with correct registration plates on it, joys of moving from one EU county to another :(

How many horses you got? £4000/month is rather a lot!!

Bloody hell those lidl lasagnes aren't cheap to keep.

As for the price of landies, mine is still loads cheaper to run than some of my mates "sensible, economical" cars that as far as I can see, by the time they actually own the thing they've paid 40 grand, for a 20 grand car that's worth 2 grand by the time it's paid for.

Since the accident, ive been thinking of bobtailing the Disco. Looking through the forums and net. Some people say it is legal, and others say it will need to be put on a Q plate.

Can anybody clear this up for me please.

It is all depending on how much damage has been done. And if i can repair it.

All the running gear still works fine. And seems a shame to scrap it.

Was thinking something like

Well, as said by Pikey, IVA/SVA if you alter the chassis, any body alternations made to the body do not count as the vehicle has a separate body from the chassis.

Why not scrap it and buy an unfinished project of ebay? saves you a ton of work and a ton of **** parts that almost no one wants hanging around or needing getting rid of.

I am all for saving them but all too often they are just past saving :(

I would scrap it and buy a unfinished one. But the problem I have is that my metal work is as close to prefect as humanly possible. And hate picking up after someone else' and finding all their bodges and cut corners.

It's as close to perfect as humanly possible? Wasn't it rolled into a ditch?
