Hi all,
Please forgive me if this is a repeated thread, I have searched but can’t come up with anything that helps me.
I have a Disco 3, which is having park brake issues. I have replaced stripped gears within the EPB module and also replaced shoes, cables and drums as the original originals were shot. I’ve conducted adjustments to the handbrake shoes and wedges and carried out the bedding in procedure.
The problem I have is that the park brake does not latch on, for example while stationary with the brake applied the parking light extinguishes and I hear the park brake moving however the brake doesn’t apply or stay applied. While driving at low speed I can activate the the park brake and it will stop the car, but immediately releases. I have no fault codes and I have a replacement park brake switch which has made no difference. I have access to a Foxwell machine so I’m able to view live data and everything appears okay. I’m a bit at a loss to what to do next.
I’d be grateful for any ideas advice. Many thanks, James.
