my disco td5 is not showing the red led light in the dash and the key fob is not unlocking the doors but other to that running fine ..why is there no led light in the dash...

Any reason you have a title of td5 diff problems? but you are asking about the alarm?
You also posted in the projects section? did you mean to?
Is this a new car to you? did the alarm work correctly before?

I got her 4/17 with no alarm working but could not say anything before that..

Right so this is not a new problem to you.
Did the fob ever work???? does the little red light on the FOB light up when you press the button?
I assume you are unlocking it with the key???

But I suspect your alarm / immobiliser may have been switched off using a diagnostics unit.

it would not turn right when driving but found out the cvj had gone put new ones on now and working fine. I was told by a local garage it was the diff he was wrong
Yeah, if it was the diff, you'd be going nowhere at all. Especially with no centre diff lock.
