Does anyone no if the power fold mirrors can be set to turn in when locking the car with remote, cheers phil
Why on earth LR never debounced that switch is beyond me. Neighbours surely wondering by now why I flap the mirrors 3 times every morningWould the real trick be the length of the pulse? Quite often I end up with the wing mirrors flapping open and shut just using the switch!

TBH, I don't think it's the switch on the dashboard, it's more likely to be the relays in the Mirrors ECU.Why on earth LR never debounced that switch is beyond me. Neighbours surely wondering by now why I flap the mirrors 3 times every morning
Having obtained a spare Mirrors ECU and opened it up, I can see that it's quite a complicated circuit for what it does; two different integrated circuits, a handful of "normal" components and a whole load of surface mounted devices. There are also 2 small relays on the circuit board which I would think do the actual switching of the motors in the power fold mirrors.TBH, I don't think it's the switch on the dashboard, it's more likely to be the relays in the Mirrors ECU.
The folding mirrors ECU is, or should be located up behind the passenger's glovebox. Often referred to as "The passenger's footwell", but you'll probably have to completely remove the glovebox to gain access:-Hi guys, interesting post, my mirrors have failed I have tried to find the ECU (apparently situauted in the passenger footwell) but it wasn't there.
I have seen a couple of articles referring to the mirrors using the Ford Mondeo relay if so where is this located?
Any plans on mass producing this?View attachment 175438 Yes I’ve made the device that will do the job you require. It’s working a treat
