Disco 2 full length roof rack on a Disco 1?

I'm after a full length roof rack for my D1. Preferably something like the safety devises ones with the rear section without side bars or lips so the whole top profile front to back is flat and I can easily fit a roof tent at the back. There are some such things advertised on ebay but for the D2 and I'm not sure off they will fit (fixings wise or length wise).

Well I've just fitted some disco 1 roof bars to my disco 2 without any adjustments. The only difference I guess in a full length rack off a D2 is that it may be slightly longer as D2's are longer in body length but not by much.

Thanks. Good to know the width is OK. I guess more of a question mark over the length.

Ask the eBay seller for distance from front an rear mounts an check in your diaco
