Hi Landrover people.....

While refitting the luggage area interior roof light, I accidentally flashed the live across one of the roof fixing studs. Assuming the 10amp fuse had blown, I wasn't worried but now I find that the interior lights, clock and radio are all dead.

All fuses are ok (fuse 33 on the passenger compartment fuse board should be the one that blew but didn't), Link 13 (30amp) on the engine bay fuse board is ok too, which is the one that feeds the these circuits).

Upon initial testing I had about 2 volts on the circuit but that too has now disappeared.

Having checked all the circuit drawings available for this truck, am I correct in believing the BCU has something to do with managing these dead circuits and is it possible this is damaged as the fuse did not blow?

Any advice would be gratefully received. I don't really want to start cobbling cicrcuits just for the sake of getting these things working again.

:D

All three circuits are connected with fuse F20(15 Amps). Interior lights are also on fuse F15 (20 Amp) and the clock and radio are on fuse F16 (15Amp) too. All fuses are on the fuse board under the steering column. The BCU should be involved with the radio and clock circuits. It is however involved with the courtesy lights.
When you checked those fuses, maybe you could visit the "Introduce Yourself" board an err, umm ..... introduce yourself.
You say that you've checked all the available drawings, obviously you don't have all the drawings. Download RAVE free from http://landroverforums.com/forum/general-tech-help-8/link-rave-iso-images-42972/ and you will have them all.
If you don't want to upset some of the locals here, it's not a truck, it's a Land Rover!

Many thanks Brian; have just posted my "intro" and apologize for my haste earlier! :D
Just got home from work early so going to have another look at the fuses you mentioned; will report back as soon as..
Cheers

Thank you, Brian :D

Fuse 20 blown; I put a meter across each and every fuse on that board and missed it!! Even took the fuse board right out to trace the feed cable.

Wot a 9 carat plonker!!

Many thanks again. Very relieved!! :D :D :D
