hi, I have an 01 plate disco 2 with air bags ,1 week ago hooked up to our horse trailor in our field my wife said the rear left suspension looked very low I thought it was because it was on a bit of a slope .yesterday my wife was at a horse show hooked up to the horse trailor the rear suspension was both sides right down on the bump stops,got recovered home by the rac who left it in front of our house. still down on the bump stops. both sides 2 hours later it was still right down at the back so slowely drove it around the corner into my drive still right down at the back. just gone out this morning and the back is right up now both sides had the air bags and compressor changed about 5 or 6 years ago, any ideas, thanks, alan

So are you saying , with no engine running , no body near it and no key in the ignition ,he car pumped itself back up to the normal position?

OK,

Well if you ever want to get it on diagnostics to check, then I am in the area you can give me a shout.

Mine , seems to settle if after an hour or two , I open a door and get something out. Then it will slowly settle on both sides. If I park up and leave it , it sits fine for days.

Could be an intermittent door switch too or it wasnt properly closed before cos if the signal from any door is like open the compressor won't work.

But that would surely result in an immediate mislock signal when locking the vehicle or the alarm being triggered in the manner of an intruder gaining access by any intermittent operation of a door switch after locking.
Unless the intruder alarm functions haave been totally disabled somewhere along the line.

why?, would you lock it before or while you drive it? ...what i said was for the case that the OP revealed in the first post when no locking was involved at the beginning when the compressor didnt kick in ;)

that's a quite common issue which can be considered a "LR oddity" it's not supposed to do that but in reality happens on some of them... i presume that some residual voltage tricks the SLABS to assume it's a crank signal... perfect ones like mine dont do that :D:cool:
