hi there I'm new to this site I have a 52 plate disco 2 I was driving the disco the other day and then the n/s air bag deflated no air leaks heard so I presumed a faulty air bag so which I replaced but the fault still there you can send air suspension up ok but when returns to ride height n/s goes to the bottom I swapped the pipes around on the solenoid valve block the fault went to the o/s so yet again thought faulty solenoid which I replaced fault still the same has anyone ever come across this if so could you shed any light
Cheers

Jonny,

Thanks for your post. Yesterday i noticed passenger side airbag deflated whilst i was out. It had been parked up for 1 hour however before hand it had been sitting for 3 days.

I turned her over and used the raise button then pressed it again which seems to bring the rear end back to level.

Looked out the window this morning and shes still sitting proud.

I wonder what would have caused the airbag to deflate is it a 1 off or something that may be getting worse over time??

Also if you have any info on coil conversions and rear sests that would be great?

Mine did the same but both sides, when I raised it it was fine for a while then went down, it does get worse and will not stay up as long, I would guess it's a leaking air bag, how old are they and have they ever been changed?
Mine were original and it's a 2004! I did think it would be a drama to change them but to be honest it was pretty straight forward, took me about 2 hours and I'm not a mechanic, worth doing though I did hear that if you leave it it puts a strain on the pump. Wouldn't bother with the spring conversation.

To everyone which commented on my problem with air suspension fault it is now fixed new height sensor fitted and calibrated job done now cured at last
I would never go and put on coil springs you would loose the smoothness of the drive
Cheers all

Glad you got it sorted and resisted the temptation to switch to coils. The airsprings last about 7 years and then start leaking. Changing them is reasonably straightforward. OEM Airbags are not cheap but Dunlop airsprings are much more reasonable.
